Fear mongering instigator. Helpful messages can be lost when you're under pressure to create and (over)produce a riveting one-hour show every day of the week. His expertise is better utilized on a guest basis.
I pay no attention to celebrity-doctors on TV. Are you referring to a specific incident, or just his annoying presence in general? I think Sanjay Gupta is just as annoying, if not more so.

Sadly, psychological research shows that fear mongering is a great way to keep audience viewership. I agree, I find his shows especially fear-based. I hope the tone changes.

Whatever keeps him away from practicing actual medicine must be considered a benefit to society, even if this does get some housewives in a panic.
