I'm not sure I like the way the dead German guy said that, therefore I'm not sure I can agree.

The dead German guy would probably agree that you disagree, for it is in your right to do so. You know I can't help myself, for the first week of January I always find myself yakking up bits of non sequitur philosophy and psychology.
As we've discussed before, it's an odd time of year.
